Hey there! I’m Steve,
...the ball of fun behind The Food Dude! My journey into the world of food started way back when I was just a little dude, whipping up chocolate cornflake cakes with my mum in our kitchen. Fast forward a few decades and here I am, turning that childhood passion into a career that’s all about bringing people together with all the feel-good vibes I can cook up.
From those early days of prawn cocktails and Sunday roasts at home, I’ve always loved the way food can make people happy. It’s more than just eating - it’s about creating moments that people remember. That’s the heart and soul of The Food Dude. I’ve taken that love for cooking from my first job in a bustling Sheffield pub kitchen, through years of bar and hotel management, right up to the creation of this catering adventure. And flipping heck, what an adventure it’s been!

The Food Dude started humbly—with a Jiffy wagon full of freshly made sandwiches, pastries, and salads, feeding the hardworking folks around Lincolnshire. But I always knew there was more I wanted to do. Then, in a twist of fate, COVID hit, and while the world was finding its new normal, so was I. I pivoted to a takeaway service for my local village, and the response was incredible! From no-contact deliveries to BBQs and private bookings, The Food Dude evolved into the flavourful, fun-loving catering business it is today.
Whether it's catering for the Lincolnshire Show or a cosy backyard BBQ, every event is an opportunity to share my passion for good food and great times. And the best part? Seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they dig into something I’ve made from scratch. That’s what keeps me firing up the grill and cooking up new, exciting menus.
